Emily King is a Renovation Design and Project Management Consultant with 15+ years of hands-on experience transforming spaces across residential and commercial properties.

With almost a decade in the commercial construction industry managing multi-million dollar projects, Emily knows what it takes to coordinate complex budgets and many moving pieces — and she's brought that same expertise to your home.

From new builds and complete top-to-bottom overhauls, to income properties, Airbnb transformations, and primary residences, she’s done it all.

She has a gift for seeing past the dated, the overlooked, and the unloved — and knowing exactly how to bring out what a space can become.

    The $250 consult fee is fully credited toward any package if you move forward.

  • Starting at $1500

    You handle the renovation — Emily handles the design. She selects the palette, finishes, fixtures, flooring, and furniture, and hands you a complete finish schedule and sourcing list so you or your contractor can execute it beautifully.

    • Full design direction and finish selection

    • Paint colours, flooring, fixtures, furniture

    • On-site visits to review selections in the space

    • Complete finish schedule + sourcing list

  • Starting at $5000

    The complete experience. Emily manages the entire renovation process alongside you — from design vision to final detail. You make the decisions; Emily makes sure the right decisions get made at exactly the right time.

    • Full design direction (finishes, fixtures, furniture)

    • Contractor vetting and quote review

    • Trade sequencing and timeline management

    • Regular site visits throughout the project

    • Ongoing client communication at every stage

    All projects begin with a Walkthrough consult — credited toward your package.

The NL Secondary and Basement Suite Incentive Program provides homeowners with up to 50% of renovation costs — to a maximum of $40,000 — to create a self-contained secondary or basement suite.

The funding comes as a forgivable loan, meaning you don't repay it as long as you rent the unit at below-market rates for five years.

If you live in St. John's, you may also be able to stack this with a City of St. John's municipal grant for even more funding. This is a first-come, first-served opportunity — and the program budget is limited.
